When Is The “Perfect” Time to Travel?

I know you’ve been scrolling through social media the past few weeks, seeing friends and family on Spring Break, wishing you were at one of those incredible destinations popping up in your feed.

You want to travel, but it never feels like the right time. There’s always something—work commitments, unexpected expenses, or everyday responsibilities pulling you in different directions.

But here’s the truth: life will never be completely free of worries or obligations. There’s no guarantee that the future trip you’re “waiting for” will even be possible. Natural disasters, political unrest, and personal health issues can arise unexpectedly.

Instead of seeing travel as a distraction, I want you to start seeing it as a life enhancer.

Travel enriches your life, expands your perspective, and deepens your connections—with yourself, your loved ones, and the world around you. It teaches resilience, curiosity, and flexibility. It instills in your children, no matter their age, an appreciation for different cultures and ways of thinking.

Travel isn’t just about the destination—it’s about the experiences, the personal growth, and the memories that last a lifetime.

Make Travel a Priority

ree

Priorities should be the things that give life meaning and purpose.

For me, travel is a priority because it’s when I’m truly present with the people I love, free from daily distractions. It fuels my thirst for knowledge while igniting an even greater curiosity about the world. I wanted my children to experience that too—to understand and appreciate different cultures, to embrace lifelong learning, and to see that we have far more in common as people than we have dividing us.

Your Turn: Why Do You Want to Travel?

ree

We’re more motivated when we attach emotions to our goals.

So here’s an exercise for you:

  1. Open the notes app on your phone (or grab a pen and paper).

  2. Set a timer for five or ten minutes.

  3. Write down all the reasons you want to travel—every single one that comes to mind.

  4. When the timer is up, reflect on your list. Which reason resonates with you most on an emotional level?

Now, let’s turn that into a reality.  Send me your list, and let’s start planning how to get you there.

Life is too short to stay put when an entire world is waiting for you. ✈️🌍
