Traveling can be stressful, especially for those with special needs and their companions. Here are tips to help make your travel experience smoother:
1. Research Everything!

You know your loved one's needs best, and I bring expertise in travel planning. Together, we can ensure the best-case scenarios and resources are in place. While the U.S. provides accessibility under the ADA, other countries vary in their infrastructure. Many have made strides in accessibility with ramps, accessible transport, and barrier-free attractions. I can help find places that meet your needs and rule out those that don't.
2. Do a Practice Run

TSA screenings can be challenging, especially for those with sensory issues. Consider participating in programs like Wings for All, which offer practice screenings without the stress of travel. This allows your loved one to familiarize themselves with the airport environment. Additionally, TSA Cares provides specialized screening arrangements 72 hours before your travel day, designed for individuals with disabilities or medical conditions.
3. Use Available Resources

Whether you need medical equipment rentals, accessible vehicle options, or adaptive tours, I'm here to assist in making everyone comfortable on your trip. Many major theme parks offer passes that help reduce wait times for individuals with special needs and their families. We'll discuss your specific situation to determine if these passes are suitable during our planning discussions.
