Confessions of a Travel Advisor

People often assume being a Travel Advisor means I’m constantly jet-setting to exotic destinations, sipping cocktails on the beach, and living in a permanent vacation mode.

The truth? While I absolutely love what I do, there’s a lot more that happens behind the scenes!

I save you HOURS of time researching.

ree

Did you know the average traveler spends 40 hours planning a vacation? I cut that time significantly by using my expertise, supplier training, and industry connections to find the best options.

I also take care of the little details—checking local holidays, attraction hours, and travel logistics—so you don’t have to worry about unexpected hiccups. My goal is to make your trip effortless from start to finish.

I treat your trip like it’s my own.

I don’t just book hotels and tours—I think through every detail to ensure your trip is comfortable and enjoyable. From making sure your all-inclusive resort has enough dining options for the week to selecting the right bedding arrangements, I prioritize your needs.

I also carefully choose hotels with great reviews, considering walkability to attractions and access to public transit. Simply put, if I wouldn’t stay there myself, I won’t send you there. And no—I'll never book you a place where you have to share a bathroom!

I get sad when you don't hire me

ree

I’ll admit, it stings a little when I see people posting trips who didn't hire me —especially knowing I could have saved them time, stress, and even money. I pour so much effort into researching the best options, securing upgrades, and troubleshooting potential issues before they arise.

More than just booking a trip, I create experiences designed to be seamless and memorable. That’s why my clients keep coming back—because they know the value of having an expert in their corner.

I often work hard to LOSE money.

ree

Few emails make me happier than telling a client I've saved them hundreds—sometimes even thousands—on their trip!

That savings doesn’t happen by chance. I monitor my suppliers daily for new promotions that could benefit my clients. Then, I battle slow booking systems and endure hours-long hold times to secure those lower prices.

Of course, lower prices mean lower commission for me, which can be frustrating. But I know this level of dedication is exactly why so many travelers trust me with their trips.
